Pincher Creek resident Dale Ferguson (nee Robertson) and her son Matt Ferguson shared this photograph with us, and now we're sharing it with you. Taken in April of 1944, it shows "Prince" stuck in a well at the Robertson Ashvale Farm. Prince apparently survived the experience. The house in the background still exists but is covered in caragana now. The farm is still in family hands, now named the "Hardscrabble Ranch".
Great photo and possible caption could be: "All I wanted was a drink of water!"
