With all the roster changes over the off season, Blue Jays fans are no doubt anxious for opening day. Joanne Verwoerd of Lethbridge is feeling excited about baseball season too, for a slightly different reason. Joanne’s name was drawn in Windy Slopes Health Foundation’s Vacation a Month Raffle 2 this morning (Wed Feb 6), giving her airfare and accommodation in Toronto for two along with tickets to a Blue Jays game in the 2013 season. Besides this $1,750 package, Mary Coombs of Pincher Creek was also drawn today for a $100 cash prize.
Draws continue monthly even as the Foundation makes plans for Vacation a Month Raffle 3. Tickets are $100 each and still available at Pincher Creek Health Centre. Raffle proceeds fund priority health care equipment needs at Pincher Creek Health Centre.
