Pincher Creek's Initiation Timbits hockey team has been doing some great things in the few last weeks. They were undefeated at their tournament in the Crowsnest Pass two weekends ago and they had the opportunity to play at the Subway Cup in Lethbridge on Friday night, February 8 during the Hurricanes game.

On Saturday morning, February 9 they were back in Pincher Creek at the MCC Arena to host the Cardston Thunder.  Both teams played hard, with the Thunder ultimately winning the game 10-7.

The Timbits have worked hard this season, and it shows.  Lots of good teamwork, lots of assists, and a big improvement in their basic hockey skills since the beginning of the season was very  evident.

They skate better, they handle the puck much better, and they're learning to make the most of their scoring opportunities.

Scoring for the Timbits, #12 Jayden Draper had a great game, scoring 4 times (a hat-trick plus 1!) and also getting an assist.  #14 Lane Connely scored twice.  #4 Walker Anderson also scored, and #11 Daxz Vance and #10 Bowen Hann got an assist each.

Scoring for the Thunder were #13 Rhyce Weasel Head with 4 goals (there's a game changer), #2 Rigin Smith and #9 Jaxon Kerr with 2 apiece, #15 Stetsun Sweet Grass with a goal and an assist, and #14 Cimmaron Weaselhead with a goal.
