On Tuesday, January 29 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm there will be a presentation by Sandra Lamouche at the Pincher Creek & District Municipal Library. Sandra will be speaking about “Indigenous Dance as a Social Determinant of Health and Well-being.” She will discuss the importance and benefits of Indigenous dance for spiritual, physical, emotional and mental health and well-being.
Sandra is a member of the Bigstone Cree Nation and a professional dance artist. She has fifteen years experience in ten different international styles of dance. She is an Indigenous Knowledge Scholar and is completing her Master of Arts in Indigenous Studies. Currently, Sandra lives in Brocket, AB.
