The fire incident on the westside of Lethbridge has been brought under control. Fire crews are completing final mop up of several hotspots centered around the river bottom and fire crews will contine to work in that area. The local state of emergency has ended and evacuated residents are allowed to return to their homes.
Alert is ended and fire is under control.

September 11 Updates:
1:36 pm: Coalhurst, City of Lethbridge, and County of Lethbridge have lifted the State of Emergency. Evacuees from these areas can return home. Power is not fully restored in all areas yet.

The evacuation order for County residents of the affected area remains in effect, except for the Sunset Acres area south of Township Road 8-5. Firefighting continues; updates will be provided as they are available.

Update 11:00 pm: West Highlands, Heritage Heights & Indian Battle Heights neighborhoods: Your evacuation alert has been lifted.
Update 10:50 pm MILK RIVER RESIDENTS: The town of Milk River has not been affected by the fire. however, Residents are to remain evacuated for the remainder of the evening. RCMP will be monitoring the town. Residents will be notified when it is safe to return home.
Update 10:41 pm: AMA reports Highway 3 is now open in both directions. Highway 25 remains closed at Kip Road as there is no access allowed into Coalhurst.
Update 6:56 MILK RIVER: Due to a drastic change in wind conditions, residents of the Town of Milk River are now to evacuate to the Town of Raymond.
Residents of the Town of Milk River needing transportation to the Town of Raymond should call 1-403-647-3773.
Update 6:43 pm MILK RIVER: Residents of the Town of Milk River are asked to evacuate immediately to the Village of Coutts.
Update 5:53: Highway #3 remains closed between Lethbridge and Coalhurst
Update 5:14 pm LETHBRIDGE: Residents east of 30th Street, north of Walsh Drive, includes westside trailer court and all residents in that area, are asked to evacuate to friends and family in safe areas, the Enmax Centre or the Fritz Sick Centre. The University of Lethbridge is suspending all non-essential services and cancelling scheduled evening classes for tonight.
Update 4:40: County residents may evacuate to the Picture Butte Community Centre or the Enmax Centre in Lethbridge.
Update 4:18 re CELLPHONES: City of Lethbridge asks you use cell phones for emergencies only. Limit your cell use if not needed as those attempting to get urgent relevant info need to have access

Update 3:57: Claresholm Local Press reporting fire north of Claresholm started by a downed power line.
Update 3:54 re COALHURST: The fire continues to approach Coalhurst. Evacuation is now in effect. Reception Centre in Picture Butte will be announced shortly. Evacuate immediately. Evacuate to the north, using Highway 25 to the town of Picture Butte.
Update 3:41 pm: The County of Lethbridge is now evacuating Mountain Meadows and areas to the north.
There is a serious fire which is affecting the Blood Reserve, West Lethbridge, and continues to approach Coalhurst. Smoke may severely reduce visibility and create hazardous road conditions.
Avoid the area. Visibility will be affected. Prepare for possible evacuation. Residents of Mountain Meadows, Sunset Acres and Township 8-22 are advised to evacuate immediately. Other areas not under evacuation order at this time, however, if you are able to leave the area, it is advised that you do so now. Exit Lethbridge using the East exits and avoid the main road. Seek medical attention if you experience breathing difficulties.
Take all necessary precautions.

Thanks for posting this update. I cant see very much blue sky anymore all of West Lethbridge is covered with smoke, I hope the wind dies down.
