St. Michael's School plans fundraisers for French Immersion books

The start of the school year is often exciting for students and teachers alike: time to learn new things, find old friends, meet new ones, use your stationery and maybe even show off some new clothes.

For the grade three, four and five French Immersion students at St. Michael’s School, getting together will have added purpose and goal this year. With great anticipation, these students are setting the bar high and hope to raise $6000 in September by holding three consecutive fundraising events, “Bike for Books” on September 14, “Bottles for Books” on September 15 and “Baking (and silent auction) for Books” at Wal-Mart on September 28 and 29.

These students would greatly appreciate your pledges, bottles and support by buying baking and bidding at their silent auction. The money raised will go towards buying much needed French books for St. Michael’s School library.

Teachers Jennifer Parker and Dominique Ploufe-Chandler have also applied to receive grant money, to add to their students’ fundraising efforts.

Upcoming St. Michaels’ School Grade 3,4,5 French Immersion Fundraisers

Friday, September 14: “Bike for Books”
