Sid Marty has been an MD of Pincher Creek No. 9 resident since l981. He has published five books of nonfiction, four books of poetry and two CDs of his original songs. He plays six string guitar and "Mandobird" electric mandolin. His last book, The Black Grizzly of Whiskey Creek, was a Globe and Mail top 100 book of 2008. It was also short listed for the Governor General's Literary Award in nonfiction and won the Grand Prize at the Banff Mountain Book Festival.
