Sunday, August 5th, 2012 at 8:30 am Grande Prairie RCMP were dispatched to a fatal motor vehicle collision approximately 5 km south of Grande Prairie on Highway 40. Local Fire and EMS departments were on scene, the road has since been re-opened.
The two vehicle collision was between a car and semi-truck on Hwy 40. The male driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased male is not being released at the present time pending notification of next of kin.
