One of the best parades in Pincher Creek history

Pincher Creek Parade's Diamond Anniversary

The diamond anniversary of the Pincher Creek parade was an incredible success.  Hot weather and the clearest of blue skies resulted in huge attendance.  Excited children lined the parade route down Main Street.  Special guests included Premier Alison Redford, Livingstone-Macleod MLA Pat Stier, "Chillin in the Woods", and a stellar lineup of floats, bands, characters, cowboys, cowgirls, etc.

Our parade and Pro Rodeo are held much later in the season than is common elsewhere.  When the weather and other factors co-operate, as they did this year, the weekend becomes a splendid "last bash" before the realities of fall set in.

Lieve Parisis of the local Chamber of Commerce is to be commended for her role in organizing the parade, as are the many who worked so hard to make it such a success.  For one wonderful hour, the spirit that makes this community so special was evident all along Main Street.
