RCMP Red Deer City investigate forcible confinement

On July 11, 2012 at approximately 9:20 pm two good Samaritans found and assisted a male who was bound and gagged with duct tape in a wooded area in the vicinity of 41 Avenue and 47 Street in Red Deer.  The 16 year old male was taken to Red Deer Regional Hospital by Emergency Services, with no apparent injuries.

The male, who is not from Red Deer, alleges that he was picked up from near the downtown Mohawk, bound, and dropped off in what is believed to be an attempted robbery by three men driving a newer dark colored pick up truck which was jacked up.

Police continue to investigate.
