Mustangs prepare for football season with Spring and Stamps Camps

Chris Davis, Pincher Creek Voice

The Pincher Creek Mustangs have a busy week lined up.  Their Spring Camp began yesterday evening with a chilly Senior's practice at the Matthew Halton School field.  Spring Camp continues until June second, and will include two Jamborees.

This weekend, starting Friday, April 4 at 2 pm, they will participate in Stamps Camp.  Calgary Stampeders Prince Baffoh, John Bender, Anthony Parker, and Eric Fraser will be on hand to give them pointers and run them through various drills.  The Stamps Camp will continue the next day, Saturday, April 5, starting at 9 am and running all day.

This year's Head Coach for the Senior Mustangs is Peter Brannen, with Wayne Alexander again acting as Offensive Co-ordinator and Assistant Coach.  Brannen was the Offensive Co-ordinator/Coach last year.  At the end of last season during a wrap-up party photoshoot he promised  "Next year we'll have a Provincial's banner for the background."  Judging from the first look at the team he and Alexander have put together, that's a strong possibility.
