Majors
The Pincher Creek Majors had a great home-opener at Lions Park this evening, May 9, romping to a 23-7 win over the Fort Macleod Elks.

Pitching for Pincher Creek was Bryce, Jagger and Blaine.  Matthew hit a beautiful in-the-park homer in the third inning, Deloy made a great outfield catch, Austin started the bottom of the 5th off right with a cracking good homer, Bryce and Colter both got triples, and the effort and skill displayed by all members of the team was notably of a high quality throughout.

The Elks were good sports, and played their hearts out.  I think we can expect increased competition from this young team once they get a few more games under their belts.

The Majors are scheduled to play the Crowsnest Pass on Thursday, May 10 at Lion's Park, starting at 6 pm (cancelled). They will then host Sparwood on Saturday, again at Lion's Park, for a double-header.  The first game is scheduled to start at 11:00 am and the second at 1:00 pm.
