Paving to cause minor delays on Pincher Creek area highways

Motorists can expect minor delays and single-lane alternating traffic on four Pincher Creek-area highways to accommodate paving and side slope repairs.

Work begins April 16 and affects the following highways:

• Highway 6 from south of Pincher Creek to east of the junction with Highway 507;
• Highway 510 from its junction with Highway 3 to its junction with Highway 785;
• Highway 785 east of its junction with Highway 6;
• Highway 507 from its junction with Highway 774 to Pincher Creek.

Only one highway will have construction activity on it at any given time. The work will be completed by June 10, weather permitting.

Motorists should use caution in this area and obey all signs, message boards, and flag people. Fines for speeding are doubled in construction zones when workers are present.
