Throughout the 15th, and 16th of April Alberta Search and Rescue in Pincher Creek, and BC Search and Rescue in Elk Valley, have assisted in coordination of volunteers on motorized search of the roads and side roads of the area between Pincher Creek and Fernie.   RCMP helicopters searched both the Alberta and BC sides of the area, and will continue their air search today.  Our Search and Rescue partners and RCMP Air division have indicated all avenues covered thus far are without result.    Search and Rescue has been engaged to continue to coordinate the search both on the Alberta and BC side of the border.  The RCMP will continue to follow up all tips and we will continue to keep the public informed of any developments and or opportunities to assist in locating Mr and Mrs. Oosterwijk.   The Fort MacLeod community has also set up a Facebook Page "Searching for the Oosterwijk".

The RCMP helicopter is actively searching the Pincher Creek and Crowsnest Pass areas today.

The Oosterwijks have 7 children, aging in age from 6 to 22, and the family and community are deeply concerned for the well being of Anja and Jacob Oosterwijk.  As previously, the RCMP are asking members of the public who reside in the rural areas of southern Alberta and South Eastern BC to watch for the Oosterwijks and their vehicle, a 1997 Green Honda CRV.  Photos of both the Oosterwijks and the vehicle are attached.  If anyone has any information pertaining to the Oosterwijks is asked to call the Fort Mcleod RCMP at 403-553-7200 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
