Update, March 29: This event has been cancelled
This buffet style dinner will allow you to sample over 10 different types of meat from the exotic, including buffalo, elk, caribou, and halibut, to domestic beef. "Land, sky and water are all represented," stated Garry Hackler, one of the event organizers. Cooks will be busy making over a dozen recipes with meats as the main feature. Those concerned about a balanced diet can rest assured that there will be a varied and balanced menu.
Tickets are $15, and organizers request that you reserve your tickets by the end of business day Wednesday, March 28. Tickets are available at the Village of Cowley Office at 403-628-3808, Garry Hackler at 403-628-3787, and through Cowley Lions members. The dinner will also feature a 50/50 draw.
Proceeds will go towards the Cowley Lions Playground. "I want to see basketball equipment, and a fence," Hackler said. The fence would alleviate concerns for the safety of small children using the playground.
Wildlife supper has been cancelled.
