Lundbreck's Livingstone School was the site of basketball games between the Livingstone Sabres' Senior Boys and Girls teams and their St. Michael's Dragons counterparts on the evening of Wednesday, December 7.  The Senior Girls were up first, and the Sabres took that game easily by a score of 74 - 39. The Senior Boys game saw the Dragons triumph by a score of 79 - 67.

On Thursday, December 8, the Jr. 'B' Boys Sabres hosted the Crowsnest Pass 'B' Ravens in a lopsided match that saw the Sabres win an easy victory, by a wide margin.  To give the Ravens credit, they never gave up, and played full tilt the whole game.  The Sabres had their game together better, despite a few rough edges of their own, and they demonstrated more consistent accuracy at the hoop.

"A great first game, the kids were excited, and some of our grade 8-ers are really strong, and it kind of showed," said Sabres coach Paul Erickson after the game.   "Almost everybody scored, so that was kind of fun.  Because we we're so far ahead we were trying to get them to be more patient, pass the ball around more. It's hard to do sometimes because you want to score."

The next game scheduled for the Jr. Sabres  is Wednesday evening, December 14, in the Crowsnest Pass, against the same team.
