It was a disappointing evening for Dragons fans on November 7 when the Junior and Senior Girls teams hosted the F.P. Walshe Flyers at the Dale Wentz Memorial Gymnasium in Pincher Creek.
First up, the Junior teams. While the Dragons played a decent game, and one that was exciting to watch in places, a fairly strong beginning for the home team did not translate into ponts on the scoreboard, and by the end of the match the Dragons were playing tired and rattled. The F.P. Walshe girls were, quite simply, the better team on this night. They found the holes in the Dragons' game, and filled them with "score". In the end, the F.P. Walshe flyers took all three sets, the first by a score of 22-25, the second by 11-25, and in the third a clearly disheartened Dragons team only managed to score 7 points.

All told, an entertaining evening of volleyball, even if the score was a disappointment to the home teams.
There will be a Post-Season Volleyball Tournament at both Matthew Halton and St. Michael's schools on Thursday, November 10, starting at 5:30 pm at both gymnasiums. Semi-finals will be held at 7:15 pm and the Final will be held at Matthew Halton at 8:30 pm.
Did you know: One of the ways to support St. Michael's School is to buy a raffle ticket from The Friends of St. Michael's. Each ticket costs $25.00, and are available through the school office. They will also be available during Moonlight Madness, up at the Ranchland Mall. Prizes are drawn from January through June. The first prize is $100 drawn the last day of each month, Second Prize is for $50 drawn each Friday, and third prize is $25 every Monday and Wednesday. Only 400 tickets are printed and they have tended to sell out long before the first draw in previous years.

Thank you for the video. I had to work last night, and missed the games. Keep up the great work!
