Blairmore's BCMI Inn extensively damaged by fire

Blairmore's BCMI Inn goes up in flames Saturday night

At approximately 8:00 pm Saturday night, November 5, the Best Canadian Motor Inn in Blairmore went up in flames.  Firefighters battled the flames until 6:00 am Sunday morning.
The structure was heavily damaged, with more than half of it in ashes Sunday morning.  Totally destroyed were the kitchen, restaurant and lobby area, with extensive smoke damage to the remaining guests rooms.  Reports indicate no injuries. Provincial fire investigators have not yet determined the cause.
