Witches sup at the edge of town

The season of the witch
Harvest Friends gather at the Bloomin' Inn

Trouble was brewing at the Bloomin' Inn, located just east of Pincher Creek, this weekend.  A coven of lovely but dangerous quilters who call themselves the "Harvest Friends" were gathered for their bi-annual quilting retreat at the Inn.  This was the 11th year and the 21st time they made the trek from their Calgary homes to gather here.

"You will be photographer!"

"The Bloomin' Inn has harvested our friendship," said one bewitching lady, before reading my fortune.   "You will be photographer," she intoned.   Oh the dread!

Stay tuned for our guide to Pincher Creek's Halloween hot-spots, coming later this month.

Scary stuff, kiddies.
