MD approves purchase of rock picker and two trucks

Schulte 3.2 cu rock picker

After some discussion at their Tuesday, October 11 meeting, the MD of Pincher Creek No. 9 Council approved the capital equipment purchase of a Schulte 3.2 cu yard hopper rock picker for $23,890.00.  This purchase price was $7,890.00 more than originally budgeted, and the extra funds will come from the Public Works Equipment Capital Fund.

MD Council also green-lighted the purchase of a 3/4-ton truck at $32,734.25 and a one-ton truck at $42,601.25, both from Pincher Creek Denham Ford, the lowest bidder.
The 3/4 ton truck came in over the budgeted amount by $734.25.  The one-ton came in at $6,6061.25 over the budgeted amount. The total over-budget amount of $7,335.50 is also to come from the Public Works Equipment Capital Fund.
