The season of knowing Him

Shellie Byers - Tis the season of signs and wonders and miracles and anticipation of the unexpected. When it feels as though heaven could come down and touch the earth and give us a glance into our eternal future. Where prayers are more heartfelt and spoken more freely. When we love our neighbors more closely as ourselves and a genuine nature of good cheer puts a skip in our step. The festivities are plentiful and we are filled with warm memories and surrounded by those we love. It is the season to experience wonderment, is it not?

Let me incline your ear a moment to pull away the decorations and fixings and all the stimulating , eye catching distractions and just think of yourself and Him. Do you know what my first thought is? I am in the most important, personal relationship in my life. To be able to call upon His name drawing nearer to Him and feeling the Holy Spirit inside me, that is more joyful than all the glory of heaven on the earth. I have been set apart for Him and understand now through study and prayer, that I am seated in heavenly places and a joint heir to Him in heaven. With that comes responsibility and I can take authority over principalities and the powers of the dark world and the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly realms. No longer do I hold offense against people but rather I pray against the demonic influences stealing the inheritance He suffered for us all. There is absolute freedom and dominion existing is who He says we are. I am wonderfully made, a conqueror, a beloved child, worthy, victorious, humbled, I experience childlike wonder and have a lifelong friend and brother who will never leave me nor forsake me.

I pray your life would experience an awakening and that this hunger would plant a seed inside your spirit to know Him intimately. He breaks every chain and sets the captives free. He knows we go through hardships and trials and times of testing but ultimately we all must carry our cross and raise the banner of the kingdom to stand firm on the solid rock. He never falls short because He has defeated death and the grave, risen into a glorified body and intercedes for us all.
