Chinook Basketball - Dragons host Kainai

Chris Davis -  St. Michael's Dragons senior boys and girls teams hosted their Kainai counterparts for an evening of basketball on Monday, December 5.  The Dragons Boys defeated Kainai 65-46, with both teams consistent throughout.  Kainai's Girls defeated the Dragons 47-34.  The Dragons rallied near the end of the game, narrowing a much bigger gap than was reflected the final score.

Top scorers for Kainai's girls were #5 Jordyn Weasel Head, #9 Karsen Blackwater, #6 Jaidii Russell, #11 Tenaya Goodstriker and #14 Taylor Daychief. The top 3 scorers for the Dragons girls were #8 Olivia Citrigno, #4 Natalie Krizan, and #15 Sara Saulnier. Players of the game were Abby Smith (Dragons) and Jordyn Weasel Head (Kainai).

The top 3 scorers for the Dragons boys were #4 Mitchell Zoratti, #5 Calvin Cooley, and #7 Tyler Gerber. Kainai boys top scorers were #8 Wyatt, #15 Cobe, and #9 Ryan.  Calvin Cooley (Dragons) and Wyatt (Warriors) were named players of the game.
