The remaining landscape work includes topsoil around the fence foundation, grading of the front lawn area for drainage away from the building, the fence foundation, and sod. The Lebel restoration project has a total estimate of $68,464 plus GST, with $23,600 in grant money to come from the Alberta Historical Resources Foundation. Councillor Doug Thornton asked if this would cover the cost of replacing a gate which went missing between the tear down and rebuild of the historic fence. Town Recreation Manager Adam Grose was in attendance during the meeting and explained the $7,000 would cover the cost of sod. Grose said the replacement of the gate will cost approximately an additional $600.
