Power pole fire near Pincher Creek quickly contained

Toni Lucas - Pincher Creek Emergency Services (PCES) and Fortis responded to power pole on fire at 8:22 pm Wednesday August 10.  The pole was located fifteen kilometres south of Pincher Creek just west of Highway 6*.   The incident was contained to the power pole itself.  PCES Deputy Fire Chief Pat Neumann said the recent variation from dry to wet conditions could have been a contributing factor to the incident.
