Grass fire contained outside of Pincher Creek

Pincher Creek Emergency Services responded to a small grass fire approximately 10 kilometers south of town west of Highway 5 on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 20.  The fire started when the landowner was mowing in a ditch.  "It tells you how dry our conditions were,before that last rain," said Deputy Fire Chief Pat Neumann.  The fire was quickly contained, and no injuries occurred. ~Toni Lucas
