Councillor Tammy Rubbelke has submitted a letter of resignation which was read at the regular meeting of Town of Pincher Creek council on October 26. "I regretfully submit my resignation for councillor for the Town of Pincher Creek, Alberta," said Rubbelke. She thanked the citizens, council members, mayor and staff for their support of her during her time on council. "It was an experience I will value and carry with me into the future."
On August 24 of this year Rubbelke requested and was granted a 3 month leave of absence for personal reasons.
Mayor Don Anderberg said "She really loved this place, and it shows." Council accepted her resignation and said the date for an upcoming by-election for her seat will be decided at the next regular council meeting.
