The fourth annual Pincher Creek Trade Show took place on Friday September 11, and Saturday, September 12 at the MCC Arena. "We have had a very good response", said Chamber of Commerce Administrator Lieve Parisis, one of the main organizers for this event. She said that over one hundred people entered in the first hour the show opened their doors. Over 50 vendors had filled the area for close to 90 booths, offering a wide array to people of varied interests.

People perused the many booths, children got their faces painted, and there was a chance for many businesses and organizations there to show their wares and get some public exposure. Whether it was a home based business, home improvements, fashion, jewelry, vehicles, or services there were booths through the area to appeal to a wide pallet of the public.

Politicians used the event as a way to meet with the public (and each other) as well. The Town of Pincher Creek was on site with a booth, as were incumbent MP John Barlow and Alison Thompson of the NDP. Thompson and Barlow are candidates for the Macleod riding in the upcoming federal election.

One 'booth' did not quite fit into the arena area. The 'Stuff the Bus With School Supplies' bus was parked in front of the arena, and gathered a lot of attention. Stuff the Bus is a First Student, Pincher Creek Office Products, and Pincher Lions Club joint fundraiser to gather much needed school supplies for kids in the area who need them. Once all the supplies are gathered they are distributed throughout the local schools.
