It was McHappy Day for the Windy Slopes Health Foundation (WSHF) at the Pincher Creek McDonald's on Wednesday, May 6. One dollar from Happy meals, McCafe drinks and Big Macs sold that day went to charitable fundraising, including for the labour delivery suites at Pincher Creek Health Centre.
Volunteer Diana Shortt was delighted to be able to be on hand and explain how this improves our local hospital facilities. Restaurant Manager Donnelle Teneycke reported the fundraising total for the day came to $783.00. This was the first time that WSHF was the recipient of McHappy day funding. Teneycke said that going forward WSHF will be the recipient on an ongoing basis.
