^ Pincher Creek RCMP Detachment Commander Sgt. Randy Dixon, shown here after addressing council for the MD of Pincher Creek No. 9 early this year, announced he will be retiring later this year.
^ The next time Dr. Sybille Manneschmidt is in town, ask her how you can make one of these wonderful handmade baskets your own. The baskets made by Liberian women, and proceeds from their sale is shared between the Women's Income Generating Project in Liberia and Red Cross West Africa Ebola Fund. Dr. Manneschmidt was at the Pincher Creek Library on February 19 with Natasha Fairweather of Canadian Red Cross Lethbridge and Emergency Response Unit Delegate Sean Freeman (via videoconference) to explain and discuss the humanitarian response to the West Africa Ebola outbreak.
