Lynne Teneycke and Jacqui Bennet Bruns were each presented with a Rose Johnson Award for Inspiring Women at the 2015 Pincher Creek Women's Fair at St Michael's School on Saturday, April 18. Their awards were presented by Rose Johnson herself.
"It's an honour" said Bruns. "Rose Johnson is such a great lady, she is so awesome. This is a real honour. I think it's really nice." Bruns has been involved with the Pincher Creek Family Resources Parent Link Centre for 9 years. She has been heavily involved with minor hockey, started a girls hockey team, was a driving force for the creation of the Hank Planger Playground, and was the chair of the Southern Alberta Summer Games Ball Hockey in 2014. She has been married for 15 years to her husband Jason, and they have two children, Kennady who is 13, and Rylan, 11.
