To paraphrase a popular 1970s feminist slogan, Pincher Creek needs a town-owned fibre-optic network like a fish needs a bicycle. Broadband internet service is already available to any home or business in the community from Shaw, delivered via coaxial cable. There are also numerous vendors offering broadband internet via satellite and radio services. Why on earth would council even entertain this idea? It is a solution in search of a problem.
