Booze to cost more

According to Budget 2015, released by the Government of Alberta today, "Liquor mark-ups are increasing 22 cents per litre, with the exception of small brewers and cottage wineries selling at farmers' markets. Mid-sized brewers will see an increase of 11 cents per litre. Alberta's liquor mark-up rates remain among the lowest in the country."

The increase is effective at 12:01 am March 27.
