Pincher Creek's St. Michael's A Boys Dragons hosted the Crowsnest Pass Panthers at the Dale Wentz Memorial Gymnasium on Tuesday evening, February 3. Well matched, the small crowd in attendance was treated to a fast paced back and forth game. The Dragons established a 9-4 lead in the first quarter, and built on it in the second to be ahead 19-10 at the half. The third quarter was the closest, with the Panthers scoring 6 points and the Dragons scoring 4, and it was 23-16 going into the final quarter. Both teams had their best quarter to finish the game, with the Dragons scoring 14 points and the Panthers scoring 10.
Final score: Dragons 27, Panthers 22.
Panthers #9 Logan Amos delivered a remarkable performance in the final quarter, scoring 8 points to add to 2 he scored in the first, almost turning the game around in the declining minutes. #23 Keegan Ryden was the top Panthers scorer, with 12 points spread throughout the game.

Dragons #7 Beau Walter took a fairly serious bump in the final quarter, putting an end to his solid effort a little early. He seemed to be mostly recovered by the end of the game. Dragons #5 Tyler Gerber's performance was remarkable. He was far and away the top scorer in the game with 21 points, scoring 5 in the first quarter, 6 in the second, 2 in the third, and 8 in the fourth (including two 3-pointers). It wasn't a one-man show though, the Dragons worked very well as a team, passing and defending well and playing on their strengths. Wily.
