PCES responds to a vehicle fire
Toni Lucas
Pincher Creek Emergency Services (PCES) responded to a call at approximately 6:45 pm on Tuesday, January 13. Originally Pincher Fire and Beaver Mines Fire responded to a report of a possible structure fire. According to PCES Deputy Chief Pat Neumann it turned out to be a one ton truck that had caught fire under a lean-to adjacent to a building just off of Highway 507 close to the 775 turnoff to Beauvais Lake. Citizens at the scene prevented a more serious situation. "Quick thinking on their part saved their building," said Neumann. They pulled the flaming truck away from the structure using a tractor. PCES crews were on scene until 8:30 pm. Neumann said "The crew did a fantastic job, as always."
There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
