Boston Pizza donates to the Mustangs

The Pincher Creek Mustangs Booster Association was recently the recipient of a $340 cheque from the local Boston Pizza (BP).

Last August the Mustangs presented BP with a team jersey with the store number (262) on it, for display. At the same time Herm Menjivar, who co-owns the restaurant with his brother Will, announced a BP fundraising campaign for the Mustangs. "Anyone can let their server (at Boston Pizza) know that the receipt is to go to the Mustangs, and the Mustangs will get a certain percentage at the end of the season," Menjivar said at that time. An unfortunate fire in September forced a temporary closure of the restaurant, interfering with the fundraising plan, resulting in a smaller cheque for the Mustangs than anticipated. Now reopened, the brothers have decided to extend the fundraiser for the entirety of 2015.

"We really appreciate BPs support of the Mustangs. It keeps us going," said Mustangs Booster Association VP Dan Crawford.
