Every Livingstone School student in Lundbreck had a sweet school activity Wednesday, December 10. They all got to go to the gym and decorate their own gingerbread house as part of their Christmas school festivities.

The houses were donated by the owners of the Cinnamon Bear Cafe in Crowsnest Pass. They have donated gingerbread houses every year for the elementary students for the last 12 years, each year that their son Theo has attended the school. This year Theo is graduating and they made it a whole-school event for all students.

Lundbreck is experimenting this year with an educational house system. Each student received a package that had a gingerbread house, with the icing sugar and candy primarily in their house colours. The seven house colours are black, red, green, orange, blue, white and yellow.
Setting up before taking home
After the decorating, teacher Rob Tkachuk challenged students Ross Cook and Jayden Hucik to an icing eat off. The competition ended in a tie.
