The Livingstone School Grade 12 Class held their Annual Italian Night Fundraiser on Friday, November 28th. All funds raised are used to cover the cost of their graduation ceremony. Despite the snowstorm and slippery roads the event was well attended by family and friends.

Approximately 160 guests were picked on in fun by Auctioneer Bob Westrop and encouraged to open their hearts and wallets to bid on the pies and cakes that each grad baked for the event.  Kyla McClung made a two tiered fire department themed cake that was bid on and won by Anne Molnar from the Lundbreck Fire Station. Bill Keeler bought the "Died and Gone to Heaven" trifle made by Kaelynne Verbaas for the generous bid of $250.  Mr. Keeler then donated the trifle back to the auction and bought it back a second time. Tanya Scotton got in a bidding war for the Black Forest Cake and took the prize with an amazing bid of $400.

Some door prizes were drawn throughout the night and the first prize was won by Livingstone School's own Janet Elder.  She picked up a pair of leather work gloves that were donated by the Livingstone Colony.

Felicia White had her number drawn and won a gingerbread house from The Cinnamon Bear Cafe in Blairmore.  There were also 44 silent auction items up for bid that were donated by families and business' in the area.  A highlight of these was a painting done by Livingstone School's Karen Paton.  It was won by teacher SueAnn Uphill.
