Virtually visit Bar U Ranch and other historic sites and national parks

You can now visit even more of Canada’s national historic sites and national parks from coast to coast on Google Maps or Google Earth. Earlier this summer, Google visited Bar U Ranch National Historic Site. The data collected is now online for you to virtual visit. Google Earth requires a software download or browser plugin to work.  To try it out, visit Google Maps (click here) or Google Earth (click here).

As of early this year you can also wander along the trails and see the sights of Waterton Lakes National Park on Google Maps (click here) or via Google Earth (click here).  

Don’t stop there! Enter names of other Parks Canada sites. Visit Fort George National Historic Site in Niagara-on-the-Lake, or let yourself be carried away by the beauty of the Gros Morne National Park in Newfoundland. Admire majestic Jasper National Park and the Canadian Rockies, or navigate the Broken Group Islands of Pacific Rim National Park Reserve on the West Coast.

This project came to life working with Google Canada to present Canada’s most treasured places for worldwide visitors to explore. Throughout the summers of 2013 and 2014, Google teams travelled across Canada to capture the most beautiful panoramas of the country's natural and cultural heritage.
