The Edmonton Police Service is searching for two male suspects and a female witness believed to be involved in an early-morning stabbing yesterday, Friday, October 17, 2014, that left a third male in hospital in critical condition.
Downtown Division patrol members responded to the Coliseum Bus Transit Centre near 118 Avenue and 78 Street at approximately 6:15 am Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, after receiving a 911 call of an alleged stabbing.
Witness accounts suggest the three males disembarked from the same bus at the Coliseum transit terminal, prior to an altercation ensuing between the three men. It’s still not known what precipitated the altercation.
The injured 18-year-old male was taken to hospital shortly thereafter, where he remains in critical condition.
The first suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, between the ages of 17 and 22, approximately six feet tall with short, dark hair. He was wearing a royal blue hoodie or sweatshirt with the words “It’s not you, It’s me!” on the front, at the time of the incident.
The second suspect is described as being an Aboriginal male, over the age of 18, who has an acne- scared and pocked face.
The female witness also appears to be over the age of 18 and has black hair.
Police are encouraging anyone who may have been travelling on that ETS bus Friday morning, who might have additional information about the assault or the individuals included in these photos to contact the Edmonton Police Service at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile phone. Emergency crews are currently on the scene of a fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway 63. The collision involves a motorcycle and a camping trailer and has caused the complete closure of Highway 63 approximately 5 km south of Wandering River. The lone male occupant of the motorcycle was deceased upon emergency crew arrival.
Investigators are attempting to determine the cause of the collision and are speaking with witnesses.
Highway 63 was closed for a time and has since been reopened at Township Road 704. Next of kin have been notified. The deceased's name will not be released.

On October 17th, 2014 at 11:39 p.m. Morinville RCMP were dispatched to a serious injury collision on Highway 28 near the Highway 803 intersection in Sturgeon County, Alberta. The scene was also attended by the Morinville and Sturgeon County Fire and Rescue Departments and Alberta Health Emergency Medical Services.
The collision involved a southbound pick truck and a northbound semi-truck and trailer. The male driver of the semi truck has serious non-life threatening injuries. The male driver of the pick up truck has serious life threatening injuries. As a result of the collision the pick up truck caught fire, which had to be extinguished. The driver of the pickup truck was pulled out by civilian witnesses at the scene, and the driver of the semi truck had to be extricated by Fire and Rescue personnel.
The scene was attended by a RCMP traffic collision analyst. The Morinville RCMP and a RCMP Collision Analyst are continuing with the investigation.
On October 18th, 2014 at approximately 09:30 a.m. Morinville RCMP were advised that the male driver of the southbound pickup truck had passed away in an Edmonton hospital. The name of the deceased is not being released.

On October 18, 2014 at 9:00 am Banff RCMP and Emergency Services responded to a single motor vehicle rollover on the Trans-Canada Highway near the Sunshine Road overpass. Investigation indicates that the driver of a Toyota Echo was Eastbound on the Trans-Canada. The driver lost control, went off the roadway and rolled.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver has been identified as Navdeep GILL (30 years old) of Calgary Alberta.
Helicopter sabotaged near Eckville
Sylvan Lake RCMP are seeking assistance from the public in identifying the person or person's responsible for damage to a Helicopter parked in the rural Eckville area. Sometime during the night between October 17th at 4:30 pm and October 18 at 8:00 am, an unknown person(s), attended a rural location north west of Eckville and caused some extensive damage to a helicopter which had been parked at the location over night. This helicopter is valued at over half a million dollars and has been used in the construction of the new Transmission lines west of Eckville.
The culprit caused damage to the interior and exterior of the unit forcing the chopper to be grounded pending inspection and repairs. Damage estimates are not yet in but believed to be anywhere from $1000 to $100,000 depending on the results of a closer mechanical inspection. The culprits also stole several items from the site including parts of the chopper that are critical to it's flight status.
Had this helicopter taken off, the pilot (and passenger's) lives would have been placed in great danger. As such, police are treating this vandalism as very serious. Should someone be identified, they could face charges ranging from Theft and Mischief (on the low end) up to Mischief Endangering Life (on the high end) which carries a maximum punishment under the Criminal Code of life in prison.
Thefts from rural property near Brooks
Brooks RCMP are investigating a report of theft from a vehicle. Between the late evening of October 17 and early morning of October 18, 2014, suspect(s) entered into a rural property on Range Road 150 just west of Brooks. Suspect(s) removed a tire, Scorpion ATR Pirelli P275/55/R20, and the 6 bolt Ford rim, off of a pick-up truck.
Brooks RCMP are requesting the public to come forward with any information regarding this incident.
Vandalism to vehicle in Brooks
Brooks RCMP are investigating Mischief to a vehicle. On the night of October 16 to the early morning of October 17, 2014 damaged occurred to a vehicle parked on Lake Stafford Drive in Brooks. The rear window to a Dodge Pick-Up was smashed. Police are looking any witnesses who may have observed the incident.

Downtown Division members responded to a disturbance call in an apartment building near 107 Avenue and 116 Street at approximately 8:10 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2014. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased Caucasian male, who appears to be in his mid-20s.
Cody Ross Larson, of Edmonton, was taken into custody Saturday morning and subsequently charged with second-degree murder and possession of a weapon. Larson’s first court appearance is scheduled for Monday, October 20, 2014.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Monday afternoon to determine the identity of the deceased and cause of death.
