Mustangs season starts to wind down - Final Peewee home game tonight

Senior Mustangs travel to Calgary

Pincher Creek's Senior Mustangs travelled to Hellard Field in Calgary yesterday to face home team the Bow Valley Bobcats for an exhibition game.  The two teams were closely matched in the first half, with the Bobcats enjoying a slim one point lead at 14-13 going into the second half.  The Bobcats built on that to win the game 33-20.  Scoring for the Mustangs were Montana Jones with two touchdowns and Ben Riviere with one touchdown.  

On October 11 the Senior Mustangs played an away game against Taber's Rebels. The Rebels had a very strong first half, ahead 19-6 going into the second half, which featured a Mustangs surge. The Mustangs denied the Rebels any more points in the second half, but in the end the Rebels' lead was too great to overcome. Final score, 19-13 for Taber. Scoring for the Mustangs were Ben Riviere and David Shortreed.

Bantam Mustangs vs Claresholm

The Bantam Mustangs played an away game vs Claresholm's Raiders on October 11. The Raiders won by a significant margin. The Mustangs have a Division 3 Semi-Final away game scheduled against the Taber Rebels on October 25.

Peewee Mustangs play last home game of the season tonight

Come out and cheer on the Peewee Mustangs as they host Raymond's Comets at Matthew Halton Field this evening, Thursday October 16, starting at 6:00 pm 5:30 pm. The Mustangs need some extra fan support, because Coach Tom "The Controller" Holoboff and Mark "The Barbarian" Barber are expected to be absent. Look for Todd "Whip Cracker" Merrick and others to be helping out Peewee Coach Jeremy "Firehose" Nelson. We're also hoping Johnny "The Flu" Parker feels better in time for the game.
