Pincher Creek ATB Branch Manager Adrian Hartman and local ATB staff have been involved in a week-long United Way fundraiser that started on Monday with a bake sale and culminated on Friday, October 10 with a hotdog and cotton candy sale, which included Hartman volunteering to being pied in the face, repeatedly, for $10 donations. Who would find the idea of a food fight captive most attractive? Kids, of course. Hartman was a sitting duck within a bulls-eye to their tender mercies.

His own children were the first ones that volunteered to help with the charity drive. "It was cold on my face, but I got all warm and fuzzy inside, it's for a great cause," said a laughing Hartman after his son Erik broke the ice buy smooshing the cream filled pie plate in his dad's face. Erik is in grade one, and he got so into the action that he even volunteered to be pied himself by his dad. Hartman's two daughters Cassie (a grade 2 student) and Sierra ( who is in pre-Kindergarten) followed suit with very little urging, then the event opened to other members of the public.

ATB's week-long efforts earned $690 for the United Way by the end of business on Friday, with other donations still coming in. Hartman is also a Councillor for the Town of Pincher Creek.
