Team Roping Jackpot kicks off 2014 Pincher Creek Pro Rodeo

The 2014 Pincher Creek Pro Rodeo began yesterday evening August 15 with a 3 head progressive Team Roping Jackpot event.  69 ropers competed for significant cash prizes, completing a total of 163 runs in 1 hour and 23 minutes.  The ground at the Pincher Creek Ag grounds was damp after a rainfall earlier in the day, but the sun was shining and the air was pleasantly cool.

Header Dustin Hewitt and Heeler Lyle Hewitt were the top team of the day.  Their combined time of 27.99 from three runs earned them First in the Average Payoffs, worth $905 each.

Header Aaron Gibb and Heeler Ryan Bennett earned first place in the Incentive Payoffs, worth $140 each. Header Jeff Bevan and Heeler Travis Simpson took home $70 each after winning the Round Payoffs.
