Terry Lyster was honoured with the Pincher Creek Pro Rodeo Volunteer of the Year at the rodeo on Sunday afternoon by Pincher Creek and District Historical Society President Janet Watmough. "I would like to thank all of our volunteers that made this happen, because we do have a lot of great volunteers that help in behind the scenes that make this happen for our Pro Rodeo in Pincher Creek," said Watmough.

"Terry Lyster has cheerfully manned the gates for approximately eight plus years. She hails from the Crowsnest Pass, and comes to Pincher for the monthly rodeo meetings."

"We appreciate her good humour and friendliness, even with those trying to sneak in," Watmough continued. "She keeps an eagle eye open for those trying to scale the fence, and I'm sure in those eight plus years she's heard all the excuses and little white lies from those looking for free or discounted entry into the rodeo.  Without dedicated volunteers such as Terry we wouldn't be able to offer this awesome weekend of entertainment. Thanks Terry, for everything that you do for us, and everything that you have done."
