Whispering Winds holds fishing derby

On Wednesday July 16 at 2:00pm Whispering Winds Village held a fishing derby for its residents.

Fishing rods baited with gummy worms were cast over a decorated curtain; the "fishermen" would then reel in lines holding prizes, items that had been donated from various businesses around town, such as Co-Op and Tim Hortons.

The event was lit by smiles. Shouts of "Reel it in, it's a big one!" littered the air as residents laughed and encouraged the fishermen currently pulling in their catch.

Community Manager Eileen Woolf, decked out in full fishing gear with matching shark cap, made sure everyone participated and had a great time.
