Fire Advisory still in effect for MD of Pincher Creek No. 9

Calgary Wildfire Management Area has Issued a Fire Advisory for the forest protection area in MD of Pincher Creek.  No open burning, no fire pits.

Fire Advisory Notice for the MD of Pincher Creek No. 9:

Hot weather and windy conditions are continuing the drying of the fuels. Due to this issuing of fire permits will be on a limited basis. Use caution in any burning. Fires in pits that have been permitted are still allowed, but some permits may be suspended if they are in proximity to the forested area due to the higher restriction in that area. Permit holders within the area of restriction will be contacted. Fire permits are required 12 months of the year for all types of burning.
