Mid-afternoon today, June 28, 2014 Pincher Creek Emergency Services and multiple other resources were dispatched to the scene of a back-country quad roll-over southwest of the Shell plant, near Blue Lake according to an eyewitness, south of Pincher Creek.
According to PCES Chief Dave Cox crews went in to give medical assistance, the patient was carried out and then transported using the Beaver Mines Fire side-by-side vehicle to a Waterton Parks helicopter. That helicopter and an attendant transported the patient to Pincher Creek Hospital, and a STARS helicopter transported the patient from there to Calgary at approximately 5:30 pm.
Further information as to the condition and name of the victim is not available at this time.
