1923 nickel discovered by Mrs. P
Loretta Packham, known in these parts as "Mrs. P", found this 1923 Canadian nickel in her change recently.  Coins of a similar vintage and condition have sold recently on Ebay for around $8.00, so all in all not a bad tip for the restauranteur.

King George V's God-fearing nickel
According to Wikipedia, coinage for King George V "is known as the "Godless" coinage, because the abbreviation "DEI GRA", (for "DEI GRATIA" or "[king] by the grace of God"), was omitted from King George V's titles. When the public noticed this, there was a huge outcry at this breach of tradition, and the phrase was later restored."*  Mrs. P's nickel includes the "DEI GRA" abbreviation. * Source: Coins of the Canadian dollar (Wikipedia)
