Roots songstress Jane Hawley of Longview wowed the 2014 Best of the West Weekend crowd with a set of plaintaive ditties performed with guitar and voice one day, and with a set of fiddle tunes the next. She was born and raised in Toronto but now calls southern Alberta home. Her musical past includes stints with Jr. Gone Wild, Beautiful Joe, and Sorrow Bound. She's captivating as a solo act, raw and emotive and commanding without needing bombast or ballyhoo to get her sound across.
