- Alberta Amber Alert deactivated
The RCMP can confirm that Amber Alert was deactivated at 5:20 pm as the two missing girls* have just been located. Their 48 year old mother* has been arrested in connection with 2 counts of Abduction under section 282(1) of the Criminal Code. The two girls are safe and investigators are working with the Ministry of Children and Family Development with respect to their care.
With the assistance of public tips and information, police were able to locate them in Boston Bar, BC and all three were taken in police custody and care without issue.
BC RCMP investigators also continue to work with Major Crime investigators in southern Alberta with respect to their investigation.
