Lundbreck Gardeners is entering their second year as an organization and they hace set down some solid roots. The club has 11 members and plan to continue to raise funds to beautify Lundbreck.  They have already tidied the garden to the entrance of Lundbreck, which they established last year. They plan on having new planting areas, and will host an art auction on May 24.  They also plan to have a float in the Lundbreck Parade, and to host a Garden Tour in August.

They have scheduled to hold a silent Art Auction titled 'Art in Bloom' at the Windsor Centre to take place on Saturday, May 24 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Approximately 15 items have already been donated. The group is open to donations including photography, paintings, prints, pottery, leatherwork, stained glass, art supplies or lessons. "We are open to more donations, we have lots more room," said Club President Monica Zwikstra, who invited local artists to become involved. "Your donation would be much appreciated."  There will be art up for auction created by Mannie Gosalves, Garry Hackler, and other artists.

"This year we are so excited because Mike Bates has the plumbing business across the road from the garden here, and we are doing a western themed garden on his property," said member Joanne Nickle. "We only have a small space, but that small space will be used very nicely." The club welcomes new members and will be making planter barrels to decorate the streets again this year, planning to install a planter box against the west wall of Community Centre, as well as the two gardens visible upon entering Lundbreck from Highway 3.  In addition to purchased plants, the group accepts donations of plants from local gardeners and garden stores to use in their planting.
